There is, for me, something magical about a garden of flowers. My love of gardening, gardens and plants drew me from my previous career in theatrical costume and fashion, in 1996 I started designing gardens, you can see some of the gardens I’ve designed and made in the Portfolio section.
Not very long ago I turned my vegetable patch into a cutting garden just for the joy of having a continuous supply of cut flowers for our own house, I grew plenty of flowers and put my surplus blooms onto an old Donkey cart on the grass verge outside our house with a ‘Flowers for Sale’ sign and an honesty box and sold out in a few hours.
My interest is in all things flowery; from sowing seeds to the making of bouquets. I love colour and creating exciting blends of flowers.
So now I’ve extended my passion for garden design into flower farming and floristry, so Flower Fusions now encompasses all my flowery passions.
Qualified in garden design at Merrist Wood and a registered member of the Society of Garden Designers, I have an imaginative approach to structure and space.
I have an intuitive understanding of what people want from a garden. My job is to act as an interpreter – listening to your requirements, translating your tastes and responding with stimulating solutions to create the perfect outdoor space.
Approachable and sympathetic, with an eye for detail and scale, I also display an extensive plant knowledge in evocative schemes that combine a flowing style with subtle use of scent and colour. My creative use of texture and form ensures that each garden is in harmony with its setting.
During the Summer I open my garden so that my customers can pick there own flowers and take away buckets full of blossom. I also do weddings, from a Brides bouquet to all the flower arrangements for your special venue.
